Make your deposit for Summer Camp!
This coming summer, Hemophilia Ontario will be sending its sponsored campers to YMCA Wanakita during session C which occurs from August 2nd to August 14th. Register for Wanakita Summer Camp as a Hemophilia Ontario Sponsored Camper, please make a deposit for your preferred session time and complete the ensuing form. Sponsorship by Hemophilia Ontario will cover the entire cost of your camper’s registration for Wanakita.
It is important to note that making a deposit does not guarantee a spot. We have limited spots and a strict selection criteria based on camper bleeding disorder type. Any campers who made a deposit and do not receive a spot will be refunded. As this is a very competitive and expensive program, the deposit goes towards helping cover the cost of camp (each camper costs us $1000/week).

If you are unable to afford the deposit fee, please notify Luke Chasse and complete the Wanakita Financial Assistance Form.
Hemophilia Ontario and YMCA Wanakita have been providing an integrated camp experience for children ages 7-16 through their partnership since 1991. This is our signature camp program that provides children living with an inherited bleeding disorder the opportunity to experience overnight camp as well as meeting other children with and without bleeding disorders.
The program is unique in that, with the expertise of on-site hemophilia nurses from across the province, campers with bleeding disorders are provided with both a safe environment, as well as a place to learn to self-infuse and become medically independent.
Our camp program at YMCA Wanakita includes 1 week, 2 week, and 4 week camper options depending on age and leadership opportunities. Hemophilia Ontario offers a pre-registration process for our program at YMCA Wanakita, which takes place in approximately September of each year.
Once per-registration is complete, campers that are approved to participate in the program are offered a unique code to register directly with YMCA Wanakita in approximately October of each year.
