Board of Directors Nominations Now Open

Hemophilia Ontario is committed to improving the quality of life for people living with inherited bleeding disorders through advocacy, education, and support. Our Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding this work and ensuring that our community remains at the center of everything we do.

Serving on the Board is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Board members provide strategic leadership, help shape organizational priorities, and support strong governance that reflects the needs of our community across the province.

We are calling for nominations for the Board of Directors. A volunteer Board of Directors conducts the affairs of Hemophilia Ontario. At present, Ashwani Kurichh, Raja Ammoury, Terri-Lynn Langdon, Nicole Kowal, Jackie Tsang, Jordan Cabral and Stephen Perry compose the Board of Directors and two youth interns, Omar Alami and Jamie Caine.

Hemophilia Ontario has 10 Director positions on its Board that are elected by memebers. A Director represents each of Hemophilia Ontario’s 5 regions and there are 5 additional Directors-at-Large. Board terms are three years and directors are elected on a rotating cycle. This year, five director positions for the regions of OEOR, NOR, SWOR, CWOR and TCOR are up for election and two Directors-at-Large are up for election.

If you are interested in applying to become a Board Member, or if you wish to nominate someone, please complete the enclosed nomination form. You may nominate yourself. Please ensure that the person you are nominating is aware of the nomination and willing to stand for nomination. Candidates must provide a resume and will be asked to complete a skills self-assessment. Candidates may also be invited to a virtual interview before the AGM.

The Deadline for receiving the board nomination form and resume is April 17th 2026 at 4:00pm.
