Nicole Kowal is our Vice Chair and Director for the Northern Ontario Region. A hemophiliac/carrier herself and mother of two hemophiliacs, increasing awareness for bleeding disorders in her community was a natural progression for her passion. The North is such a large, remote area that Nicole wants to ensure that all members feel like they belong and are supported. Giving members a space to feel connected and have the tools to feel empowered to advocate for themselves and their family is particularly important to her. Nicole loves giving members of the North a chance to meet others in a safe, inclusive space.
Nicole created her own salon, Streak of Green, over 17 years ago. She has incorporated her love for the environment in a unique way while giving her community a less toxic hair experience. With over 27 year’s in her trade, Nicole has won multiple awards for her environmental implementations in her salon. Her smile and sincere compassion will light up any room. During her spare time Nicole loves camping, hiking, exercising, baking, and making memories with her family and dog Loki.
