We’re very excited to announce the first of two new Student Social Media Coordinators at Hemophilia Ontario. Please join us in welcoming Adura Segun-Akintayo to our team!
Adura is a post-graduate student at Humber College, where she is working towards a graduate certificate in Addictions and Mental Health.
Prior to her move to Canada, Adura graduated with a BSc in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Essex in England.
Driven by a desire to advocate for communities in need, her work experiences have involved support work for adults with disabilities, social media marketing and fundraising.
“I’ve always wanted to be passionate about the work that I do, which is why I am excited to work with Hemophilia Ontario. The opportunity to advocate for the awareness of bleeding disorders using my health background and social media experience feels incredible.”
Outside of the work environment, Adura is enthusiastic about ballet, meeting up with friends for food, and interior design.
